Basic Bead Stringing and Knotting Level: beginning 1 to 1.5 hours $29
Instructor: Denise Ferguson
This is the best basic class for learning to use bead stringing wire, crimp beads and bead cord. Anyone can do this
project. Learn to make a single strand bracelet of your design as well as learn an easy way to knot in between beads
on bead cord. We supply an assortment of beads to choose from for you to design your bracelet. Then you learn to
secure the ends with a clasp. It's that simple! Your design just the way you like it. All materials included.
What you leave with: A single strand bracelet and bead stringing skills

Basic Wire Wrapping Level: Beginning 2 to 2.5 hours $29
Instructor: Elaine Alhadeff
Learn the essential wire wrap technique that is used in a lot of aspects of beading. We will practice making the loops
and wraps using craft wire and beads, connecting them along the way so that you get the idea of a consistent loop
size and clean wrap. We will demonstrate the triangle wrap for those top drilled pendant stones and a special bonus ,
learn to make your own headpins using a common kitchen torch. Finally, you will make a pair of simple earrings using
your newly learned skills. All materials included.
What you leave with: A pair of earrings and wire wrapping skills

Wire Wrapped Beaded Hoop Earrings Level: Intermediate 2 to 2.5 hours $29
Instructor: Elaine Alhadeff
Use your wire wrapping skills to create a beautiful and delicate pair of bead-embellished earrings. We will learn how
to take small beads and attach them to a hoop using a simple wire wrapping technique, as well as adding a small
dangling briolette using the triangle wrap. You will be thrilled and proud of the end result and be the envy of all your
friends! Prerequisite: Basic Wire Wrapping. Material list provided, cost is about $20 for the supplies.
What you leave with: A beautiful pair of sterling hoop earings.

Etsy: Selling on Etsy Level: Beginning 2 hours $29
Instructor: Alina Gridley
Learn all about selling your handmade jewelry on Etsy.com, the premier website for all things handmade. This class
will cover the basics of opening and setting up an Etsy store and listing your items for sale. You must have or be
willing to open a Paypal account to have a successful Etsy store.
What you leave with: Skills and know-how to successfully operate an online store with Etsy.com.

Etsy: Pictures Make The Sale Level: Beginning 3 hours $40
Instructor: Alina Gridley
This class will cover the main aspects of effective product photography. Learn about lighting, props, background and
presentation! Also covered are tips for fixing photos and effective cropping techniques. It is recommended that you
bring a digital camera for this class ( fully charged with a flash card).
What you leave with: Skills and know-how to successfully photograph your jewelry for a beautiful presentation to
make the sale.

Class policies
Payment is due in advance to secure your space. Minimum of 3 people needed for a class to proceed.
Please Read: Refunds* are given if we have 5 days notice before class. After that, there are no refunds, this
includes sick calls. Space available transfers will be made if we have 5 days notice before class. If you can't
make it for any reason, feel free to send a friend in your place. We make every effort/accommodation for
scheduling conflicts and sickness up to 5 days before class. If you do not show up for your class, there are
no refunds or transfers to another class.
*If your payment method was by credit card, there will be a $1.50 service fee duducted from
your refund amount.
Fireweed Bead Co. reserves the right to cancel a class for any reason and at any time. Full refunds will be
made accordingly. That being said, we really hate to cancel classes, and try not too.
If you have any tools, bring them, otherwise we have a limited number of loaners available. Basic tools are:
Needle nose pliers, round nose pliers and small cutters. Good eyesight or aids are a plus for beading. If you
have glasses or a magnifier, bring them along for a more enjoyable experience.
